Cookies
I do not use advertising cookies or cookies from other parties. I set strictly necessary cookies, for example to keep you logged in, and one analytics cookie for my own statistics.
These are strictly necessary cookies and an analytics cookie with little impact on your privacy. That is why I do not ask for consent or show a cookie banner. You can turn off statistics, though.
The Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) explains when analytics cookies have little impact on your privacy and need no consent. Explanation of cookies by the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (in Dutch)

Statistics
For statistics, I use PostHog in the EU, through my own domain and without your email address or IP address. The cookie is only set on my domain, and PostHog uses the data only on my behalf.
I do not record sessions. On pages without sensitive data, I do count which buttons and links are clicked. In the comparison tool, on shared comparisons and in your account I do not track clicks.
PostHog also keeps track of which tab you are in, in your browser's sessionStorage. This disappears when you close the tab.
Turn off statistics
Is Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control turned on in your browser? Then I do not load PostHog at all.
You can always delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary cookies, logging in will not work.
Cookies from other websites
I do not set cookies from advertising networks or social media. If you click through to a comparison website or insurer, the cookie rules of that website apply.
