Terms of use
Version 1.0, last updated on 29 October 2026. In case of differences, the Dutch version prevails.
1. About these terms
1.1 These terms apply to the use of the website www.zorgverzekering.chat (including the English version under /en/), the MCP server https://mcp.zorgverzekering.chat/mcp, the REST API under https://mcp.zorgverzekering.chat/v1 and the related services (together: the service).
1.2 The service is offered by 11 Internet (Jan-Willem Bobbink), Piet Heinstraat 79, 2518 CD The Hague, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 09190645 (I). Contact: help@zorgverzekering.chat.
1.3 By using the service or creating an account, you agree to these terms.
2. What the service is, and what it is not
2.1 The service gives information about health insurance in the Netherlands and calculates with data that insurers and the government publish, such as premiums, reimbursements, terms and contracts with care providers.
2.2 The service gives no advice. Calculations, overviews and sort orders are information. You decide which insurance suits you.
2.3 I am not an insurer and not an intermediary. I do not sign anyone up for insurance, do not assist with signing up and do not pass your data on to insurers or comparison websites. You sign up with the insurer or with a licensed comparison website.
2.4 The service is free for consumers.
3. Data, sources and calculations
3.1 I take data from public documents of insurers and the government and state the source with the data. I partly extract documents automatically and check the result. I mark data that has not been checked yet.
3.2 The insurer’s policy terms always prevail. If my information differs from the insurer’s documents, those documents apply. Check the premium and terms with the insurer or on the site where you sign up before you decide.
3.3 Calculations are estimates. They are based on the data you enter and on assumptions I state with the calculation, for example an average rate per treatment. Your actual costs may differ.
3.4 Premiums and statutory amounts may be provisional, for example before insurers announce them or before parliament decides. I say so when that is the case.
3.5 Contracts between insurers and care providers can change during the year. Contract information is a snapshot with the stated date and source.
4. Sorting and fees
4.1 On the website, I sort by expected yearly cost, from low to high. Through the MCP server and the API you can also sort by other keys. With every list I state the sort order used. How sorting works is explained on the page How I sort.
4.2 Some links to comparison websites are affiliate links: if you sign up through such a link, I receive a fee from that comparison website. It costs you nothing extra. The fee has no influence on the order of policies or on calculations. If a policy is available through more than one comparison website, the size of the fee can influence which site I link to. You can always sign up directly with the insurer instead. I mark affiliate links.
4.3 There are no paid placements.
5. Account
5.1 An account is optional. You must be 16 or older to create an account.
5.2 You log in with a login link that I send to your email address. Keep your email account secure: anyone with access to your email can log in to your account. Do not share login links. A session stays valid for 7 days; “Log out on all devices” ends all your sessions.
5.3 You can delete your account at any time in your account. This also deletes your policy choice, saved comparison, notifications and newsletter subscription. If you do not log in for 12 months, I delete your account automatically.
5.4 I can block or delete an account in case of misuse or where the law requires it. Where possible, I let you know in advance.
6. Notifications and email
6.1 You turn notifications on or off yourself in your account. A notification is a service; I do not guarantee that a notification is sent or arrives at a particular time.
6.2 You only receive the newsletter if you sign up for it separately. You can always unsubscribe through the link in every email.
7. MCP server and API
7.1 You may use the MCP server and the API in AI assistants, your own software and your own services, under these terms.
7.2 Limits. Without a client token, a limit per IP address applies (currently 60 requests per minute). Partners can request a client token with a higher limit; additional agreements may apply. Do not try to get around the limits.
7.3 Fair use. You may not overload the service, bypass its security, use it for unlawful purposes, or systematically copy the full dataset to build a competing database, unless I have agreed to this in writing.
7.4 Showing results to others. If you show data or calculations from the service to others:
- name the service as the source;
- do not present the results as advice or as a personal recommendation from me;
- show the sort key with lists and the assumptions I supply with calculations;
- do not remove or change source references or the affiliate disclosure.
7.5 AI assistants. Answers from an AI assistant are written by that assistant, not by me. They can contain errors or misrepresent my data. Check the sources I supply. Your conversation with the AI assistant is governed by the terms and privacy policy of its provider.
7.6 I can change the tools, the API and the limits. I keep tool names as stable as possible and announce major changes in advance on Use in ChatGPT or Claude.
8. Intellectual property
8.1 The service, the software, the structure of the database, the texts, the classification of reimbursements and the design belong to me or my licensors and are protected by copyright and, where applicable, database rights.
8.2 You may use the service for personal purposes and, within article 7, in your own software and services.
8.3 Documents of insurers and the government remain the property of their authors. I only show short passages from them, with a source reference.
9. Availability
9.1 I do my best to keep the service available and up to date, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
9.2 I can change the service or parts of it, take it offline temporarily or end it.
10. Liability
10.1 The service is information and is offered free of charge. You make decisions about your insurance yourself, after checking the terms with the insurer (article 3.2).
10.2 To the extent permitted by law, I am not liable for damage caused by relying on information or calculations from the service, by incorrect or outdated data from insurers or other sources, by answers from AI assistants, or by the service being (temporarily) unavailable.
10.3 This limitation does not apply in case of intent or deliberate recklessness, and does not affect your rights as a consumer that cannot be excluded by agreement.
11. Privacy
How I handle personal data is explained in my privacy statement.
12. Changes
12.1 I can change these terms. I publish the new version on this page with the date of the change.
12.2 For important changes, I inform account holders by email at least 30 days in advance. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.
13. Applicable law and disputes
13.1 These terms are governed by Dutch law.
13.2 If you have a complaint, please contact me first at help@zorgverzekering.chat. I respond within 14 days.
13.3 If we cannot resolve it together, you can bring the dispute before the competent court. As a consumer, you keep the protection that the law of your country of residence gives you, and you can also go to the court where you live.
