Healthcare allowance (zorgtoeslag)
A monthly government contribution towards the cost of your health insurance if your income and assets are below certain limits.
You apply for the healthcare allowance with the Dutch Benefits Agency (Dienst Toeslagen) via toeslagen.nl. You must be 18 or over, have Dutch health insurance, have Dutch nationality or a valid residence permit, and your income and assets must be below that year's limits. The amount depends on your income and whether you have a benefits partner (toeslagpartner). You can apply until 1 September of the following year. Report changes in your income in time, or you may have to pay money back.
