Acceptance (acceptatie)
Whether an insurer has to accept you: always for basic insurance, not for supplementary insurance.
Basic insurance has an obligation to accept (acceptatieplicht): the insurer must accept everyone who is required to be insured, regardless of age or health. This does not apply to supplementary and dental insurance. For those, an insurer may ask health questions, set a maximum entry age or refuse you. I show the acceptance rules for each package. If you want to switch and need care, first check whether your new supplementary insurance will accept you.
